Job Description
Reporting to the CEO & COO, Your responsibilities are outlined below:
1. Strategic Product Leadership: Develop and own the product design vision, strategy and roadmap, aligning the organization's mission to transform education in Tanzania and various markets in Africa
2. Responsible for identifying long term business opportunities in K-12, higher education through research
3. Product Development & Impact: Oversee the end-to-end product life cycle: I deation, prototype, launching, creative & scaling of educational content
4. Lead product designs that are user friendly, while considering content availability in multiple languages within Africa
5. Impact Measurement Indicators: Define and track KPI's and educational impact metrics, such as student engagement, knowledge retention & exam pass rates*
6. Effective collaboration with C-suite & board executives to manage technical feasibility and vendor partnerships
The Successful Applicant
You bring 15 years of proven experience in a Chief Product Officer role, preferably in the Edutainment or media sectors covering education product programs. Minimum of 3 years of experience leading educational technology platforms in Africa is mandatory. Previous experience working closely with media distribution channels in Africa is considered a bonus. Excellent track record of defining and executing product strategies that result in impactful results concerning educational content. Excellent fluency in English & Swahili is required. Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office, and Data driven tools such as AI. Must be based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
