We are recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor to support and lead day-to-day maintenance activity within a busy manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on supervisory role, requiring strong experience across both electrical and mechanical breakdowns, with ideal exposure to hydraulic and mechanical presses. The successful candidate will supervise the maintenance team on shift, support complex fault-finding, and ensure equipment reliability, safety, and uptime. Roles & Responsibilities Supervise daily maintenance operations across electrical and mechanical disciplines Act as the first point of escalation for electrical and mechanical breakdowns Provide hands-on support for complex fault-finding and repairs Coordinate reactive and planned maintenance activities to minimise downtime Support and enforce planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules Ensure safe operation and maintenance of production equipment, including hydraulic and mechanical presses Allocate work, prioritise tasks, and support development of maintenance engineers Liaise closely with Production and Engineering teams to support output targets Ensure compliance with health & safety, statutory requirements, and site procedures Support continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance and reliability Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in a Maintenance Supervisor, Senior Maintenance Engineer, or Team Lead role Strong hands-on experience with both electrical and mechanical breakdowns Electrical fault-finding experience (PLC diagnostics desirable) Mechanical experience including hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, bearings, and gearboxes Experience working with hydraulic and/or mechanical presses is highly desirable Background within a manufacturing or industrial environment Experience supervising or mentoring multi-skilled maintenance engineers Strong understanding of PPM systems and maintenance best practice Engineering qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-skilled) Electrical certification/qualification (advantageous but not essential) Confident fault-finder with a practical, hands-on approach Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment Proactive and solutions-focused mindset
