Job Title: Learning Assistant

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £24,205 - £26,683 L2 (SCP 11 – 17) per annum actual salary

Start Date: As soon as possible

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: 37 hours a week, 39 weeks a year (Term-Time)


About Our School

About The Support Team

Our support team is currently made up of 9 Learning Assistants. Our SEND team which includes 1 Assistant SENDCo and our SENDCo. Our Learning Assistants (LAs) are dedicated to specific year groups, fostering strong relationships with students and parents. Each LA specialises in a different intervention area, supporting the team in delivering these interventions. We prioritise professional development. Our collaborative approach aims to enhance the SEND provision, working closely with heads of year and the inclusion team to coordinate support across the school.


About You

As a Learning Assistant at The Bulwell Academy, you will bring your passion for education and dedication to support students’ growth. Our ideal candidate would:

* Have strong organisational, communication, administrative and interpersonal abilities.


Requirements

To apply for the Learning Assistant opportunity, you must hold:

* Strong foundational skills in verbal and written communication, as well as numeracy.
* Proficiency in explaining tasks clearly and simply.
* Eagerness to participate in extra-curricular activities.
