Overview
Join to apply for the Supervisor role at Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services. This position is based in Glasgow and the greater Clyde area, working on the Future Defence Infrastructure Service (FDIS) contract. The role involves coordinating and managing minor new works, planned preventative maintenance, reactive and remedial works, supply chain management and compliance.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage minor new works, planned preventative maintenance, reactive and remedial works, and supply chain management to meet contracted deliverables and key performance indicators.
* Prioritize work schedules and ensure on-site activities (airfield pavements and buildings) are completed to specification.
* Review risk assessments and method statements for high-risk activities, planned responses, and minor new works; administer and review reports and certification upon completion of works.
* Support planned maintenance through report writing and delivery of remedial works.
* Develop understanding of core applications such as MAXIMO and Coupa; understand facilities management services provided to customers.
* Ensure contract changes are addressed, respond to audits, and maintain compliance with JSP 375 requirements in collaboration with supply chain contractors and the Mobile Authorised Persons team.
* Provide professional and technical advice to the Helpdesk and liaise with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and end users.
Qualifications and Experience
* NVQ level qualification in a relevant trade, building, civil engineering or related discipline, or significant relevant experience.
* Health & Safety Management qualification at a management level (e.g., SMSTS).
* Experience in planning, directing, and controlling activities with strong administration and attention to detail.
* Familiarity with construction, building, or facilities management; experience and qualification as an Asbestos Responsible Person is highly desirable (training can be provided).
* Ability to work on own initiative within a team; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Willingness to undertake training (Asbestos, airfield pavements) that may be away from site.
Role Details
* 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
* Based in Glasgow (Kentigern House).
