An extremely forward thinking Accountancy Practice in Newcastle are on the lookout for an experienced and driven Tax Senior to become a key part of a well established and growing Tax Department. This is not your typical tax role is a chance to work across a rich and varied portfolio, from high net worth individuals to trusts and estates, giving you exposure to a broad spectrum of personal tax scenarios.Role DescriptionAs part of the tax team, you will be providing a wide range of tax services to clients. You will play a critical role in ensuring our clients’ affairs are expertly managed, with opportunities to build deep client relationships and make a real difference. No two days are the same. From Self Assessment Tax Returns to Trust and Estate Reporting, CGT submissions and TRS compliance. Enjoy the perfect balance of independence and guidance.Reporting to the Tax Manager and Tax Senior Manager, your main duties include:
* Preparing Self Assessment Tax Returns for a wide range of personal clients.
* Completing P11d forms and supporting broader personal tax compliance.
* Assisting with the preparation of Trust and Estate Tax Returns.
* Assisting with IHT calculations and planning for clients.
* Submitting 60-day CGT reports for UK residential property disposals.
* Managing Trust Registration Service (TRS) compliance obligations
* Liaising directly with clients, legal professionals, and third party advisers.
* Participating in internal training and contributing to the teams technical development.
ProfileWhat You’ll Bring to the Team
* 3–4+ years in a tax-focused role and a genuine enthusiasm for personal tax.
* ATT or CTA qualified, or actively studying towards a qualification.
* Up-to-date knowledge of Self Assessment, CGT, and IHT legislation.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong time management skills.
* Confident communication skills and a proactive, client-focused approach.
* A team mindset, you thrive when collaborating and helping others succeed.
