Our client, a leading company in the rail industry, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a contract role. This position requires substantial experience in rail or related industries, including engineering, defence, construction, or IT. Key Responsibilities: Provide post-contract commercial support for designated packages of work, including subcontract, materials, and direct labour. Ensure projects are delivered within cost and time constraints. Assist with the commercial management of various work packages, including Design, Installation, Test & Commission, Materials, Telecoms, Electrification, Power, Plant, Professional Services, Civil Engineering, and Permanent Way. Manage work package change control and management. Provide key commercial interface for responsible work package managers. Offer contractual and commercial support to Project Managers and Engineering teams. Oversee cost management, including forecasting, budget management, and control. Monitor and mitigate work package risks proactively. Contribute to internal and external commercial reports as required by the Commercial Delivery Strategy. Ensure processes and document control align with company standards. Collaborate with key partners, such as finance, project management, engineering, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
