About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Workshop Plant Fitter to join our client's team. This is a full-time, permanent position based at their well-equipped workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of plant machinery used across various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of heavy and light plant equipment in the workshop
* Fault finding and repair on engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and transmissions
* Complete inspection reports, job sheets, and other documentation accurately
* Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards
* Liaise with parts department and workshop supervisor for parts and job updates
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience working with plant or heavy machinery (excavators, telehandlers, dumpers, etc.)
* Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
* Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
