An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join a rapidly expanding group. This newly created role reflects the growth and success of the business, and as a result, this is a fantastic time to join the finance team and indeed the organisation.
Your new role You’ll be working closely with a dynamic finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller. Key responsibilities include:
1. VAT returns
2. High-volume invoice processing and ledger management
3. Bank reconciliations
4. Balance sheet reconciliations
5. Journal entries
6. Prepayments and accruals
7. Management Accounts preparation reconciliations
8. Payroll cover (not essential but desirable)
What you'll need to succeed
9. Strong experience in a similar accounting role
10. Proficiency in Sage (Sage 200 experience a bonus)
11. Excellent attention to detail and reconciliation skills
12. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment – no 2 days are the same!
