PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £40,200 - £49,800 Full Time Equivalent depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Purpose of The Role
BBC Radio Lincolnshire's breakfast show is the heart of our brand, waking Lincolnshire up with a smile and being the first to bring our audiences stories which matter to them as we set the agenda for the day ahead. We are looking for a creative and ambitious Senior Content Producer to build on our recent RAJAR success and take the show to the next level. You'll have the drive, planning and production flair to lead and inspire a team to develop and deliver multiplatform content.

We consistently punch above our weight and expect our senior producers to have plenty of big and bold ideas which reach audiences across the county. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented producer to lead a team in creating content that works brilliantly on audio, online, and across social media.
Your key responsibilities and impact
* You will be the lead producer on our weekday breakfast programme and set the agenda for the day, entertaining those who choose us as the soundtrack to their morning, guided by the BBC Local Breakfast template.
* You will lead the team to develop creative ways of telling complex stories that make sense to our opportunity audience.
* You will be core to harnessing motivation in the team, generating a positive, creative environment. You will be liaising with presenters and supporting them as required.
* You will drive a multiplatform agenda, constantly striving to reflect our audience in the content while retaining a local focus.
* Editorially, you will work with the local story team to deliver quality stories that appeal to our audience and attract new listeners.
* You will be responsible for ensuring our high editorial standards are adhered to and impartiality is across all content.
* You will work with the Executive Producer to develop a visualisation strategy for the breakfast show.
Your skills and experience
Essential criteria
* The right candidate will be experienced in working in a live radio broadcast environment. They will have worked with multiple stakeholders including presenters.
* Resilience and the ability to work reactively under pressure will be core to this role and expected of the successful candidate. Proven ability to judge audience need, react on the ground to feedback and deliver accordingly is a must.
* Having experience of delivering digital content which enhances the radio offering would be expected.
* You’ll think big, understand the importance of the Breakfast Show in driving key all-England content and leading the station's coverage of editorial like the Make A Difference Awards and Children in Need, and you will collaborate with the station and region's other programmes to bring them into our flagship show.
* You’ll have an understanding of and be able to develop ideas about how the Breakfast show will work in partnership with reporters in the Local Story Team and relate to planning and commissioning within the Story.
Desired but not required
* Experience of outside broadcast production – on site and in studio.
