Taskmaster Resources are recruiting on behalf of a well-established company in Sheffield area for experienced Purchasing Assistant.If you’re organised, reliable, and have experienced Purchasing Assistant we’d love to hear from you.
Key Accountabilities:
* Effectively support the Product & Procurement Manager.
* Procure materials/consumables and in-line with the forecasted demand/request.
* Track open purchase orders to ensure they arrive in a timely manner to minimise disruption.
* Run planning reports and review data to determine replenishment order quantities and delivery dates.
* Generate purchase orders, confirm delivery dates, costs and update purchase orders.
* Run reports to track and chase overdue items.
* Create in-bound deliveries.
* Create and maintain pricing and vendor relationships within SAP.
* Generate purchase orders for MTO component parts: - laser cuts, machining and fabrication etc.
* Generate purchase orders for ad-hoc items.
* Liaise with suppliers on invoice queries.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Good understanding of suppliers and supply chain procedures.
* Foster and nurture excellent supplier relationships on an on-going basis.
* Ability to negotiate and maintain accurate records.
* Good communicator both verbally and written with the ability to adapt to the audience.
* Supportive team member with a willingness to be flexible to ensure the Product & Procurement team collectively delivers the required level of service to stakeholders.
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, SAP and the various Apps within the Intranet with good administration skills and attention to detail.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative.
