Lively Minds is a fast-growing, innovative charity dedicated to preparing pre-school children in rural Ghana and Uganda for school. We are seeking a seasoned Treasurer/Financial Trustee to support the Chair and Board as we expand our operations.
What will you be doing?
Lively Minds is an award-winning UK-registered charity working to improve early childhood development in rural Ghana and Uganda. We address barriers to school readiness by empowering uneducated and marginalized mothers to run educational play schemes and provide better home-based care using affordable local resources. Our programme has been proven through a randomized control trial to enhance children’s cognitive and socio-emotional development and reduce child malnutrition. We are proud that the Government of Ghana has adopted our programme, and we are supporting its scale-up to over 4,000 communities. We are also developing similar partnerships in Uganda and exploring expansion to other countries and a thought leadership role in the global Early Childhood Development space. Our work is supported by respected international funders.
