About the Role: As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that encourage students to explore and develop a deep understanding of scientific concepts. You will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with the potential for Key Stage 5, depending on experience), ensuring students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and challenging science lessons following the national curriculum. Teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with Key Stage 5 optional, depending on specialism). Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages students to think critically and develop a passion for science. Differentiate lessons to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities, ensuring inclusivity for all students. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement. Participate in extracurricular activities and science-related clubs to further enrich students' learning experiences. Uphold school policies on safeguarding, equality and inclusion to create a safe and supportive environment for all students. Science Teacher requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification in Science. Experience teaching Science at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum. A proven track record of raising student attainment and delivering outstanding lessons. Subject specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics is desirable, but a strong general Science background is essential.
