Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a reliable and proactive Building Supervisor to join a welcoming primary school in Sheffield. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and well-presented learning environment for pupils and staff.
The Role
As the Building Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and upkeep of the school premises. Working from 10:00am to 6:00pm, you will ensure the site remains safe, clean, secure, and fully operational throughout the school day and after-school activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Opening and securing areas of the school site as required
* Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs
* Monitoring health and safety across the premises
* Managing contractors and site visitors
* Conducting regular site inspections
* Ensuring the school grounds are maintained to a high standard
* Supporting with deliveries, room setups, and school events
* Responding promptly to maintenance issues and emergencies
The Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience in a caretaking, facilities, maintenance, or site supervisory role
* Good practical maintenance and DIY skills
* Knowledge of health and safety procedures
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
