Position: Youth Worker
Location: Levenshulme, Manchester
Start date: 13th May.
End date: Ongoing.
Contract type: Temporary to Permanent Role
Working hours: Monday-Friday (8.30am-3.30pm)
Pay rate: £83.85 – 92 per day.
Job Duties:
* Engage with pupils in a positive and supportive manner.
* Provide guidance and support to young people facing challenges.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement youth programmes.
* Monitor and evaluate the progress of young people and adjust support as needed.
Required Qualifications:
* Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Youth Work or related field
* Valid DBS check
* Excellent communication and people skills
Education:
Level 3 qualification in Youth Work or related field
Experience:
Prior experience working with young people in a similar role.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of the issues facing young people today
* Ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with young people.
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
* First Aid certification
* Additional training in mental health support for young people
