Job Description:
We are looking to strengthen our Engineering team with a Structural Engineer at Engineer, Senior or Principal level, based at Hattersley or within any of our UK regions with hybrid working available.

You will report directly to the Structures Lead (Hattersley). Your role will deliver high-quality Engineering Design services to minimize risks and maximize profits on turnkey and engineering services contracts. This involves coordinating the design and producing Structural design documents and drawings, considering health and safety requirements, specifications, and standards relevant to the contract.
Key responsibilities include:
* Producing structural design calculations for Water Treatment and Sewage Treatment plants, including new builds and modifications
* Reviewing structural content of construction drawings/models
* Reviewing subcontract design proposals, ensuring work is considered for buildability, standardization, DfMA, and safety on site in compliance with CDM regulations
* Designing reinforced concrete and steelwork according to Eurocodes and British Standards, coordinating within a multidisciplinary team, including construction oversight and site support
* Following procedures to support the development of the discipline
* Resource planning and managing project delivery within budget and schedule
* Coordinating designs with other disciplines and managing internal and external resources
* Supporting civil design staff and junior staff development
* Ensuring designs consider environmental issues
* Contributing to process and procedure improvements
* Collaborating with the extended team in Pune, India
