AFL is a subsidiary of Fujikura Ltd. We are looking for a proactive, accountable and collaborative individual as a CAD Engineer for our company. Responsible for supporting on time delivery of New Product Development (NPD) projects including completion of all manufacturing documentation released to Product Engineering allowing for production activities to begin, as well as supporting the qualification of concepts as part of the NPD process. The role is hybrid working, three days in the office. Therefore, candidates must live a commutable distance from Milton Keynes. Key responsibilities include: New Product Development Creation of manufacturing documentation Product qualification as part of NPD project Supporting Product Engineering to release product into production General and Task Management Support the creation and maintenance of process documentation associated with the analysis process Participate in design reviews Participate in DFMEA processes (based on standards) Support validation/measurement tests Support reaching the quality, costs and delivery targets of the program Report all resulting data from Validation testing Support design review and contribute to achievement of Engineering Milestones as well as Customer Program Milestones Contribute to continuous improvement activities Quality control of work by appropriate reviews Support and lead process improvement activities Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems Experience 1 year experience of modelling and creation of assemblies within SolidWorks Mechanical Engineering degree ideal but not essential ISO Drawing standards ability to interpret create drawings to meet standards Benefits 25 days holiday 4 weeks paid sick leave, increasing to 18 with length of service Group pension plan (5% employer 4% employee) Group life assurance 8 times salary Private Medical Insurance Cash back medical plan Employee Assistance Programme Annual bonus
