Job responsibilities
Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare to support the Care team and deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Responsibilities include monitoring residents’ wellbeing, contributing to person-centred care planning, supporting residents with medication, and undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development. You will act as a key point of contact with residents, relatives and health and social care professionals, ensuring requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints escalated.
* Monitor the wellbeing of each resident and update care plans and records as needs change.
* Be involved in the person-centred care planning process, including implementing, monitoring and monthly evaluations.
* Support residents with their medication requirements.
* Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development where required.
* Act as a primary contact for residents, relatives and visitors, and coordinate with health and social care professionals, escalating concerns as needed.
About you

* Have an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care for care homes.
* Have 2 years of experience in a similar care environment.
* Be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
* Have a positive attitude toward supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
* Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
