Role: Electrical Project Engineer Start: ASAPSalary: Up to £51,500 Hours: 37 a week - Flexible 9:30 - 15:30 | Mon - FriLocation: Kilmarnock - Office BasedBenefits: Flexible working week - hours measured every 2 weeks and are flexible if needed for childcare etc Pension: Employee 5% | Employer 4% Health and Life insurance Any travel off site is expensed 33 days holiday - Bank holidays given in lieu - Holidays increase to 34 and 35 after 5 and 10 years Lots of training availableBrief:My client is looking to strengthen their Engineering team with Experienced Project Engineers with specialist skills in Engineering Design, Electrical Engineering and/or Technical Project Management to work on rail projects from initial brief, through the design and development stage, testing, manufacture and implementation of an efficient and cost-effective engineering project management process for each project lifecycle.Roles Responsibilities / Tasks: Develop project plans and integrate engineering specifications with production schedules to meet the requirements of the client Project planning, structuring and scheduling ensuring all key stakeholders are involved and information is effectively documented and shared. Monitor, develop and progress the project plan/schedule - acting as the link between the client, engineering and production Development and use of Bills of Material (BOMs) to record material requirements Day to day involvement in delivering the project requirements in terms of interpretation of drawing and engineering specifications, materials ordering and progressing quality control. Drafting and / or Signing off project documentation relating to work completed and working within production to ensure critical tasks are completed by properly assessed and competent staff. Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are in place.Key Skills required for the role: A Degree or higher Experienced project engineer in a fast-paced environment. Relevant project management qualification is highly desirable. High level of understanding engineering drawings and writing technical documents / work instructions from them. Good communication skills, able to brief staff and customers on progress and next steps. Problem solving skills, identifying solutions to issues arising or facilitate with the appropriate person. Commercial and Financial awareness, able to understand project costs and identify efficiencies. Proficient in Microsoft suite, including MS Project and Power Point - a good understanding of CAD packages would be helpful, but not an essential part of the role. Technical, Electrical or Engineering qualifications or experience preferably gained in the rail or other high hazard industry are desirable.* Ability to be customer facing (TOCs, OEMs, Suppliers)
