Permanent Our client, a highly regarded engineering and construction firm are looking for a
Senior Civil Engineer
to join their existing Civil Engineering team to bolster their growing engineering division. As the Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for civil works planning and execution across multiple high-value projects. This role is ideal for an experienced civil professional looking to take on greater responsibility, shape project outcomes, and influence multidisciplinary collaboration from the early planning stages through to project delivery. Key Responsibilities Interpret early-stage project documentation to outline civil requirements and generate concept designs for site access, drainage, earthworks, and layouts. Identify project-specific risks and provide mitigation strategies. Liaise external stakeholders ensuring that all civil aspects are well integrated and effectively delivered. Support bid teams in defining civil packages and collaborate with estimating personnel to align scope and commercial assumptions. Act as the primary coordinator for external civil design teams, ensuring technical compliance and cost efficiency. Oversee design reviews and ensure integration with adjacent disciplines such as electrical and structural. Perform critical site inspections to verify compliance with approved documentation and safety standards. Guide and support junior members within the team. Ideal Background & Skills Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. At least 5 years of industry experience, ideally within power transmission, distribution, substations, or related infrastructure in the energy and renewables sectors. Strong understanding of project lifecycles from feasibility through handover. Familiar with AutoCAD and MS Office; experience in Civil 3D, Revit, or Navisworks is advantageous.
