Britten Pears Arts is a pioneering music, arts and heritage charity based on the Suffolk coast at two popular, historic visitor destinations: The Red House and Snape Maltings. We emerged from the creative partnership of Benjamin Britten, one of the greatest composers of the 20th century, and his professional and personal partner, singer Peter Pears.
We are looking for two Housekeepers to join our Housekeeping team on a permanent basis. Duties of the role are varied, and we are looking for someone who is flexible, and able to work in all areas including retail, office spaces, performance spaces, exhibition spaces, change over days for holiday properties at Snape Maltings, accommodation in Aldeburgh as well as other public areas in both locations.
We are looking for someone who can deliver consistently high standards of housekeeping and cleaning. Experience in a similar role is helpful, but we also welcome applicants who are keen to learn and develop their skills. An understanding of COSHH and health and safety is important. The role involves tasks such as changing beds and working efficiently to meet deadlines, so applicants will need to be able to carry out the essential duties of the job safely and effectively. You'll also need to be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
These roles are spread over 3/5 days – an average of 16 hours per week on a rota basis which will also include alternate weekends or one weekend working day. Pool cars are available for shifts that require work at multiple locations.
