Job Description Equifind are delighted to be partnering with a global private equity firm, based in the heart of Mayfair, London, who are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant. The role will require you to work in the office Monday to Thursday, with the option to work from home on Friday if you wish. About the role Month-End & Quarter-End Close Support Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and ensure timely closure. Collaborate closely with the Management Accountant to meet reporting deadlines. Monthly Management Accounts & Commentary Assist in compiling P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis. Help draft narrative commentary to explain performance against budget/forecast. Cash Flow Forecasting & Budgeting Contribute to short- and long-term cash flow projections. Track actuals vs forecasts and identify risks or opportunities. Financial Controls & Reporting Improvement Proactively assess and improve internal financial controls. Contribute to the development of more efficient reporting tools or dashboards. Transactional Finance Activities General ledger postings and reconciliations. Manage accounts payable and receivable cycles, including credit control and invoice management. Liaise with clients and suppliers on finance-related queries. KPI & Sales Reporting Support the tracking and reporting of sales, customer metrics, and operational KPIs. Regulatory & Compliance Reporting Assist in preparing statutory and regulatory returns (e.g. VAT, HMRC, FCA reports, etc.). Audit Support Prepare schedules and documentation for external auditors. Address audit queries and ensure compliance with audit requirements. Payroll Involvement Collaborate with HR/payroll provider to ensure accurate monthly payroll processing. Team & Culture You will report directly to the Finance Manager and collaborate closely with the five other members of the finance team. From day one, you’ll also have the opportunity to interact with the CFO and founding partners, gaining valuable exposure to private equity operations and leadership. About you Part-qualified and studying either ACCA or CIMA Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and standards. Proficient in Excel. Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills for cross-department collaboration and stakeholder engagement. Interview's for this role will be held through July with the aim that the new accountant will start in August.
