Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our Deli kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with the ability to create delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
* Oversee food preparation processes to ensure quality and consistency in every dish served.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
* Collaborate with staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
* Assist in menu planning, including the selection of seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes.
* Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned regularly.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities.
* A creative flair for developing new recipes and menu items is highly desirable.
