CLINICAL LEAD LEARNING DISABILITIES – GENERAL PRACTICE 1 Year Fixed Term 1 session per week (4 hours) Salary £131,088 per annum (pro rata) Based at Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Larbert An exciting opportunity has arisen to join NHS Forth Valley Clinical Leadership team as a Clinical Lead for Learning Disabilities to support delivery of the Annual Health Checks Adults with Learning Disabilities Directions. This post will provide strategic leadership and clinical support to colleagues to take forward the commitments of the Directions to reduce health inequalities for adults with learning disabilities. We are looking for an enthusiastic and focused individual who is an effective communicator, an advocate for the needs of this patient group and can demonstrate an ability to support and guide others to improve clinical outcomes. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of the needs of this client group and any professional qualifications to support this would be an advantage. The role will involve collaborative working with colleagues in Primary Care including GPs, Primary Care managers, Learning Disabilities professionals and nursing teams as well as representing Forth Valley at national forums with regard to this programme.
