A leading international brand is seeking a Quality Systems Manager to champion food safety and quality assurance systems across its African operations. This exciting role is ideal for a strategic and hands-on professional who thrives on improving processes, ensuring compliance, and influencing stakeholders across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and maintain food safety and quality systems aligned with local and international legislation
2. Monitor and interpret regulatory changes across Africa and communicate implications across teams
3. Oversee the Product Complaints System (PCS) across suppliers and support franchise operations
4. Maintain and update specifications using systems like TrueView and Power BI
5. Lead allergen and labelling compliance initiatives
6. Control documentation and drive improvements through complaint trend analysis
7. Support onboarding of new suppliers, markets, and users on quality systems
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on QA and technical projects
9. Deliver supplier training and ensure adherence to global QA&FS standards
Requirements:
10. Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology or equivalent
11. 6–8 years’ experience in Quality Assurance and Food Safety within the food industry
12. Strong knowledge of regulatory and legislative food safety requirements across Africa
13. Experience managing quality systems and driving compliance
14. HACCP and GFSI certification (e.g. BRC, FSSC)
15. Proficiency in data analytics and reporting tools (Power BI preferred)
16. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and influencing skills
17. Exposure to global QA&FS standards and QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) industry advantageous
