*Senior HVAC / Air Conditioning Engineer (F-Gas)*Optec Services is a well-established electrical, HVAC and renewables contractor based at Westcott Venture Park near Aylesbury. Our main client is the UK’s leading garden building company; we also supply and install solar PV and air conditioning systems across the domestic and light commercial markets.We are pleased to be recruiting an experienced HVAC / Air Conditioning Engineer to join our growing team, working across domestic-style and light commercial air conditioning projects.The successful candidate will become a key member of our installation and maintenance team, supporting a long-term garden building client installing standard split and multi-split AC systems, alongside servicing, maintenance and occasional commercial AC works for our facilities management clients.This role is suited to an experienced AC engineer who is F-Gas qualified, confident working independently and able to lead by example on site while maintaining high installation and customer service standards.*Scope** Installation and commissioning of standard split and multi-split air conditioning systems* Planned servicing and maintenance of existing air conditioning assets* Fault finding and minor reactive works where required* Install and maintain commercial air conditioning works for facilities management clients* Act as a senior technical presence on site, maintaining installation standards and best practice* Support and guide less experienced engineers where required* Travel to sites across the UK as required* Occasional overnight stays (hotels and food fully paid for by the company)* Work on sites alongside company electricians on garden building installations* Provide a professional, customer-focused service on site* Complete job sheets and reporting accurately using our mobile job management system* Carry out any additional duties as directed by the Line Manager*Career Progression Opportunities** Opportunity to take a senior role within a growing AC and HVAC division* Ongoing technical training and development as systems and responsibilities expand* Scope to influence standards, processes and best practice across AC works* Long-term role within a stable and growing business* Progression based on performance and contribution rather than job title alone*Essential Skills and Experience** City & Guilds 2079 F-Gas CAT1 ODS Regulations Qualification* Strong hands-on experience installing and servicing split air conditioning systems* Confident fault-finding and commissioning ability* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively* Electrical awareness and basic fault-finding knowledge* Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach* Must hold a valid full UK driving licence*Desirable Skills and Experience** Experience with multi-split or light commercial AC systems* Previous experience in a senior or lead engineer role* Experience supporting or mentoring junior engineers* Familiarity with mobile job management or reporting systems* Good Health & Safety awareness* Interest in developing broader HVAC or electrical skills*Remuneration** Full-time, permanent position – Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)* £40,000 basic salary per annum* £300 per month performance bonus (£3,600 per year at 100%)- Bonus is performance-based, with the opportunity to exceed 100% for exceptional performance* Company vehicle and tools provided (business use only)* All hotels and food paid for when staying away* Uniform provided* Stable, consistent workload with a key long-term client* Company pension scheme* Opportunities for additional training and certification* Health Insurance pay back schemeThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AC engineer looking for a long-term role, strong earning potential and the chance to work within a professional, supportive team where quality and performance are genuinely valued.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: £40,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Bereavement leave* Company events* Company pension* Enhanced maternity leave* Enhanced paternity leave* Free parking* Health & wellbeing programme* On-site parking* Sick payAbility to commute/relocate:* Aylesbury HP18 0NP: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Application question(s):* Do you hold a valid F-Gas qualification Experience:* Air conditioning: 2 years (required)Licence/Certification:* Driving Licence (required)Work Location: In person
