Description
Join a productive, high energy heavy diesel workshop, offering everything from servicing, maintenance and COFs as well as engine, brake and clutch repairs. This team is 60 strong and they are looking to boost their team with an efficient Auto Electrician with experience working on Class 4 and 5 trucks and trailers. Role:
You'll be confident repairing, replacing, and overhauling electronic systems such as management systems, ABS brakes, electronically controlled gearboxes, instrument panels and vehicle computers, and you'll approach your tasks with a do it once, do it right mentality. You'll be self-sufficient and able to work independently, but equally happy working in a team and sharing your knowledge with the apprentices.

The boss is a down to earth bloke who wants the best for his guys - training and development, health insurance, tool accounts, and mid-winter / end of year do's are all on offer - and it shows in the low staff turnover, with some team members boasting a 15-20 year tenure. Strong client relationships and a great name around town mean workflow is consistent, with plenty of hours on offer and overtime available for those keen to go the extra mile.
Yard is based in Hornby, standard working hours Monday-Friday with optional Saturdays. Wages on offer are roughly $40 - $46 per hour depending on experience, with overtime paid at T1.5 on the weekends. Weekend call-out work is on offer as well with a minimum of 3 hours paid if called out.

What we are looking for:
* NZ Certificate in Automotive Electrical Engineering (Level 4)
* Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
* Experience in new wiring installations, maintenance and fault finding
* Health and Safety conscious approach
* Excellent communication skills and teamwork
