TITLE: Teaching support staff needed for FLEXIBLE work in secondary schools across London.
Principal Education is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable individuals to work as teaching assistants and unqualified cover teachers in secondary schools across London. These are flexible daily supply roles – you choose when you’re available. No formal teaching qualifications are required, though previous experience working with young people is highly desirable.
The roles:
Teaching Assistant: Support small groups of pupils with SEN or behavioural needs, or provide 1:1 support to help create an inclusive classroom.
Unqualified Cover Teacher: Deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the class teacher, managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
What you MUST demonstrate:
Right to work in the UK
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Ability to support pupils with SEN and behavioural challenges
Flexibility and adaptability
Calmness under pressure
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Overseas police clearance if you’ve lived abroad for 6+ months in the last 5 years
Based in London or within a commutable distance
Pay and benefits:
£100–£130 per day for flexible daily work
Higher rates for ongoing roles, aligned with the school’s pay scale
