We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our Intermediate Care Rehabilitation Therapy Team based within the East Dorset Locality.
The role involves providing physiotherapy assessments and treatments to patients with acute illnesses to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions, facilitate complex discharges, and support patients with long-term goals. The position is predominantly community-based but may require work on the ward within the local Community Hospital. Applicants must hold a valid UK Driving License and have access to a car.
As a Band 6 Physiotherapist, you will have the opportunity to:
1. Develop your discipline-specific skills.
2. Enhance your holistic assessment skills beyond traditional physiotherapy practices.
3. Develop supervisory, leadership, and service development skills.
4. Support junior and assistant staff in their development.
If you seek an employer that pushes beyond traditional boundaries to bring rehabilitation and care to patients when and where they need it, and if you want to work alongside motivated, passionate, and visionary colleagues, then join us.
Applications from candidates requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship are unfortunately ineligible.
The role involves providing physiotherapy assessments and treatments to people in their homes, care homes, or on community hospital wards, depending on the locality. You will deliver high-quality, person-centred care, considering safety, privacy, and dignity. You will manage a caseload, provide specialist advice, and develop care programmes for other professionals.
You will act as a role model, promoting the Trust's values of being proactive, positive, respectful, supportive, reliable, and trustworthy.
Employment requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover. Applicants subscribed to the DBS update service can present a valid certificate instead of a new check.
At Dorset HealthCare, we aim to empower people through outstanding healthcare services. We are a dynamic Trust rated 'outstanding' by the CQC in 2019, with high patient and staff satisfaction. We value diversity, equality, and inclusion, and are committed to building a workplace for the future.
Join us to challenge yourself, build your career, and contribute to our vision of continuous improvement through excellence, compassion, and expertise.
