Description:
Due to establishment requirements, we are seeking a number of Teaching Assistants to join our school. St. Hugh’s School is a well-resourced, purpose-built school for students aged 11 to 16 years with moderate/severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning needs, many of whom have additional needs, ASD, and complex medical needs.
Are you an enthusiastic and highly motivated person looking to join a warm and welcoming school?
You will have a talent for engaging students and making a valued contribution to their learning.
Main responsibilities include assisting in developing pupils’ learning, personal self-care skills, and managing pupils’ behaviour under the close direction of the teacher or other senior staff.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students, and thorough safeguarding checks will be conducted. The safeguarding responsibilities of this post are outlined in the job description and person specification.
Please note that guidance in Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024 requires us to carry out an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates. This search helps identify any incidents or issues that are publicly available online and may be explored at interview. This will be carried out for all candidates who attend an interview.
