Overview
We are partnered with a 2 form entry, mainstream school in Portsmouth who are now looking for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for a new child joining the school. This school is a "Reading School" and strives for academic excellence, enriched with opportunities for personal development and success. They are looking for someone who can develop a wonderful relationship with a Year 5 child who has complex needs.
Responsibilities
* A commitment to supporting a Year 5 child with diverse needs
* Develop a positive relationship with the child and provide 1:1 support within the classroom
Qualifications
* Experience working with children with special educational needs is essential
* Experience working with challenging behaviour, either within education, healthcare, or other equivalent environments
* Right To Work in the UK, and currently resides in or close to Portsmouth
* Enhanced Child Workforce DBS certificate on the Update Service, or a willingness to gain one
