Apricus Resourcing are working with a leading charity based in Yarnton, Oxford who are currently looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and adaptable Drug and Alcohol Support Worker working either days or nights. This role will be based on a temporary to permanent basis. These roles are working full time ideally standard hours of 37.5 hours per week working 8am-8pm, however there is possibility to work part time if not filled full time, any on shift expenses will be compensated. In this role you will support service users all the way from Initial triage and assessment, to then latterly formulate the immediate care plan & harm reduction advice. You will also be required to sign post out to additional appropriate support services, then arranging the first clinical or psychological interventions appointment along with ongoing support in a secure setting. Duties for the role will include: * Working closely with service users to help reintegrate them back into their communities * Help service users reduce their SM related harm * Help formulate Care Plans and review these on a regular basis * Take part in regular 1-2-1 sessions * Take part in group sessions * Offer advice when required, service users will look to you for regular help and guidanceIn order to be considered for this particular role you will need to have experience of working with drug/alcohol abuse, experience of using interventions to facilitate change, ...
