About The Role

As a Managing Quantity Surveyor within our Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering complex civil engineering and infrastructure projects that support the UK’s transition to Net Zero.


Role Profile

A Managing Quantity Surveyor has significant experience in managing contracts and costs relating to infrastructure and civil engineering projects. They actively seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality for our clients. Typically, a Managing Quantity Surveyor will be chartered or in the final stages of achieving professional membership of the RICS (or equivalent) and will be a peer role model for those less experienced members of the commercial team.


What you’ll be doing

* Experience of NEC contract administration and management
* Measure, record and value work unsupervised in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures
* Composition of applications for payment, data assurance/analysis and final account procedures
* Use and manage project accounting systems, monitor costs, and produce cost vs value reconciliations
* Review programmes of works and plan commercial activities to meet the requirements of programmes
* End to end supplier procurement, supply chain management, contract administration and value for money assurance
* Actively identify, communicate and manage risk in collaboration with the project team
* Support the development of other team members and provide professional guidance
* Hold or be working towards professional membership from the RICS or equivalent
