Our teaching and learning strategy is research based and focused on cognitive science. We have invested significantly in professional development to ensure all of our teachers are evidence informed practitioners, continuously developing their own pedagogy to ensure the very best outcomes for our learners. Our teachers work alongside a team of Personal Progression Coordinators (PPCs) to ensure that our learners are supported holistically throughout their time at Bede.

Job role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and forward-thinking Teacher of Business to join our thriving Sixth Form team. At Bede Sixth Form, we are committed to delivering high-quality, innovative education that prepares students for success. As a Teacher of Business, you will contribute to our Level 3 BTEC Business programme by designing and delivering engaging lessons, providing meaningful feedback, and supporting students to achieve their full potential. We work closely with employers, universities, and industry partners to ensure our learners are equipped with the skills and knowledge to thrive in competitive environments.
The role will commence in January 2026, or earlier wherever possible and depending on the completion of pre-employment checks. It is desirable for the successful candidate to be able to teach other specialisms; Economics would be particularly advantageous. This post is fixed term for the current academic year, with the possibility of becoming permanent in future for the right candidate.
Schedule
We have a unique timetable at Bede Sixth Form designed with student and staff wellbeing in mind. Our lessons start from 10 am to 4 pm, and we deliver a maximum of two lessons a day.
