This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking procurement team where you'll manage end-to-end purchasing activities and contribute directly to business performance.\n\nIn this role, you’ll take the lead on sourcing and supplier management, supporting both operational continuity and strategic procurement initiatives. You'll play a key part in ensuring a resilient and cost-effective supply chain, with opportunities to influence supplier relationships and purchasing decisions at a senior level.\n\nIf you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoy driving continuous improvement across procurement functions, we want to hear from you!\n\nThe Role:\n\nIndependently manage the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of materials, services, and components.\n\nDevelop and sustain relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery.\n\nContribute to product development projects by identifying and qualifying new suppliers.\n\nEvaluate supplier performance, ensuring contractual terms are upheld and business expectations met.\n\nIdentify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring continuity of supply.\n\nSupport the management of supplier agreements, contracts, and procurement compliance.\n\nAnalyse procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and report on key metrics such as Purchase Price Variance.\n\nMaintain accurate procurement records and ensure audit-ready documentation.\n\nParticipate in cross-functional teams to align procurement with business objectives.\n\nContinuously improve procurement practices through process optimisation and adoption of best-in-class tools.\n\nThe Person:\n\nProven background in procurement or buying (minimum 3 years), ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment.\n\nStrong negotiation and supplier management skills.\n\nConfident working independently with solid decision-making ability.\n\nProficient with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.\n\nAnalytical, organised, and detail-focused.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nA self-starter with a collaborative mindset and willingness to adapt to change.\n\nValid driving licence and willingness to visit suppliers as required.\n\nDesirable:\n\nExposure to lean manufacturing or strategic sourcing practices.\n\nUnderstanding of environmental and regulatory impacts on procurement.\n\nIf this opportunity sounds like the right move for you, apply to (url removed) today.\n\nGeorge Jackson – (phone number removed) / (phone number removed)\n\nIMT acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and as an employment business for interim workers
