Are you an experienced Children’s Social Worker looking for a rewarding role in a dynamic and supportive environment?
Liquid Personnel is looking for experienced Children’s Social Workers to support its client’s Child Protection Team based in Nottingham. This is a long-term position within a busy social work team. The team covers Child in Need, Child Protection, initial Looked After Children assessments, and initiating care proceedings. The role requires a high level of flexibility to meet work demands.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will:
1. Conduct assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs.
2. Develop and implement child protection plans in collaboration with multi-agency teams.
3. Undertake statutory visits and maintain accurate, up-to-date case records.
4. Intervene in crisis situations to ensure the immediate safety of children.
5. Attend and contribute to child protection conferences, core groups, and court proceedings.
6. Work closely with families to promote positive change and improve outcomes for children.
7. Liaise with schools, health professionals, police, and other agencies to coordinate support.
8. Provide written reports and evidence for legal proceedings when required.
9. Monitor and review cases regularly to ensure progress and compliance with care plans.
10. Advocate for the rights and welfare of children and young people.
Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have:
11. Social Work England registration
12. Eligible to work in the UK
13. Hold a full UK driving licence and access to car
14. Post-qualifying experience
15. Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
