The Role:
We are looking for experienced and qualified Social Workers to step into the role of Assistant Team Manager within our newly established Family Help Teams. As part of an Outstanding Local Authority, you will support frontline social workers in delivering early, targeted support to families in their local communities.
This role involves overseeing work with children under child protection and child:in:need plans, contributing to pre:birth and parenting assessments, and supporting adolescents through contextual safeguarding. You will champion the Hampshire Approach, ensuring that children's voices are central to all decision:making.
What you'll do:
As an Assistant Team Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting Social Workers within the Family Help Hubs. Your responsibilities will include:
:Working with children under child protection plans, child:in:need plans, and those involved in Public Law Outline/Initial care proceedings.
:Contributing to multi:agency practices by conducting pre:birth and parenting assessments.
:Focusing on contextualized safeguarding for adolescents.
:Implementing the Hampshire Approach, ensuring the childs voice is heard and their views recorded.
What we're looking for:
:Proven experience gained from at least three years in frontline statutory social care practice, working collaboratively with children, young people, and their families.
:Passion and commitment to improving outcomes and the lived experience of the children we serve.
:A Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
You will be required to travel to various locations within Hampshire, and it is essential that you have a current drivers' licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.
