We are looking for a skilled Plant Fitter to join a well‑established Woodbridge‑based operation within a busy construction environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated engineer with strong mechanical experience to step into a long‑term, 12‑month contract with excellent earning potential and development opportunities.

The role is based within a secure MOD barracks environment, offering a structured and safety‑focused working setting. Working as a Plant Fitter in Woodbridge, you'll be part of a supportive team where quality workmanship and safety come first.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance and repair of diesel, MHE and specialist plant equipment
• Diagnosing faults and identifying root causes across mechanical systems
• Liaising with controllers and customers to ensure clear communication on repairs and timescales
• Carrying out inspections and ensuring all equipment is safe and fully operational
• Identifying additional repair work and communicating requirements clearly to clients
• Completing all job documentation accurately and professionally
• Supporting revenue opportunities through effective identification of further works

Qualifications

• HGV Category C licence (essential)
• Level 3 qualification in engineering or equivalent apprenticeship
• Strong background in mechanical engineering or construction plant maintenance
• Experience as a Plant Fitter, HGV Technician or similar engineering role
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment faults independently
