Grade 7 (SCP 17 - SCP22); equating to £26,920 - £29,243 per annum
Birches Head Academy are looking to appoint 2 enthusiastic, diligent and pupil-centred Assistant SENDcos, to work as part of the Academy's support staff function within the Academy's SEND department, supporting the Academy's SENDCO in leading the SEND provision across the school, and supporting the implementation of an inclusive curriculum within the context of the Academy's aims and policies.
Previous experience of working within an education environment with pupils with a range of special educational needs is essential. Experience leading or coordinating a SEND provision within a school setting is desirable, as is experience working with EHCP processes and Annual Reviews.The successful candidate should hold five good passes at GCSE level or equivalent, including English and Maths. An NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in childcare related subject or a willingness to work towards the relevant qualification is desirable.
