Finance Analyst, Cash & Debt, CBS Energy Supply
Finance Analyst providing analysis of debt and associated bad debt in CBS Energy Supply (BGB) as well as cashflow actuals and forecasts.
The role will help support the business to minimise bad debt and to optimise working capital through value focused analysis and strong collaboration with key business contacts.
Accountabilities
* Report and forecast bad debt and cashflow for CBS Energy Supply.
* Develop deep understanding of key financial drivers in the business areas supported.
* Carry out non-standard / bespoke analysis to support business decision making.
* Support development of business cases for key transformation projects (e.g. new system investments, industry regulation).
* Identify performance improvement interventions and design means of implementing associated changes. Facilitate relevant parts of the business to implement changes.
* Support the senior management in reviewing investments and develop means of articulating value, facilitating and leading relevant parts of the business to deliver business cases.
Experience
* Previous finance experience in a large organisation including:
o Communication of analysis and insight across the business.
o Building financial models, creating robust forecasts and budgets.
o Track record of value add and process improvement.
* Experience in decision support and investment appraisal.
Education
* Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
* Ability to achieve outcomes within agreed timeframes and under time pressures.
* Motivated by continuous improvement and high-quality output.
* Excellent communicator with strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex financial analysis into summarised output.
* Team player with experience in building a strong network of relationships across the business and finance teams.
* Strong strategic thinking - able to step away from the detail to see the bigger picture.
* Exceptional multi-tasking and problem solving skills.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills to communicate to senior stakeholder.
* Great MS Office skills required, namely Excel and Powerpoint.
