Housekeeper and Hospitality Assistant | Hospitality | Private Hospital | Solihull, Birmingham | 37.5 hours per week | Competitive Salary and Great Benefits

Spire Parkway Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper and a Hospitality Assistant to join our experienced and dynamic on a permanent basis.

Spire Parkway Hospital in Solihull, West Midlands offers a comprehensive range of private hospital services. Our hospital is rated Good by the CQC for all parts of the inspection except for Patient Care, which is rated Outstanding. The report states, “Staff treated patients with compassion and kindness, respected their privacy and dignity, took account of their individual needs, and helped them understand their conditions. They provided emotional support to patients, families and carers.”

Our dedicated hospital team are passionate about excellent patient care and we offer a range of specialist treatments to patients across Birmingham, Warwickshire and the West Midlands. This includes diagnostic services, rehabilitation, cutting-edge surgical procedures and excellence in specialist fields like orthopaedics, women’s health and cancer care. We have 51 bedrooms and five operating theatres.

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Ensure that patient rooms are ready for admissions
2. In patient rooms are serviced on a daily basis
3. Departments and public areas are cleaned
4. Comply with daily and weekly cleaning schedules
5. Liaise and take direction from nursing staff and other departments.
6. Be flexible and accommodate changes as necessary in providing continuity of care and Quality Improvement
7. To assist the nursing staff to ensure patient rooms are ready for admission
8. To support other members of the team, with occasional supervision of less experienced staff

Who we're looking for:

9. Experience in a customer facing environment
10. Previous housekeeping experience
11. Experience working unsupervised and on own initiative, prioritising tasks
12. A positive and flexible approach to customer service
13. Good communication skills
14. Willing and able to complete mandatory training for COSSH, Manual Handling, Infection Control, food hygiene and Health & Safety in-house.
