Site Fitter - Water & Mechanical MaintenanceWe are currently recruiting for a Site Fitter to join a small, specialist team delivering mechanical installation and maintenance services across water treatment sites within the Severn Trent region. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical fitter to step into a lead role, taking ownership of site activities and working closely with a dedicated co-fitter.The RoleYou will be responsible for carrying out mechanical installation, maintenance and replacement works on customer sites, including: Travelling between sites and working on pumps, pipework, rotating machinery and associated mechanical equipmentRemoving and replacing worn or defective equipment, including refurbished assetsIsolating and removing equipment for workshop overhaul when requiredWorking safely in line with site health & safety procedures, including confined spaces and working at height where applicableActing as a professional representative of the business on customer sitesCompleting basic job documentation and reporting electronically Candidate Requirements Proven mechanical fitting experience with strong practical skillsPrevious site-based experience (water industry experience advantageous)Ability to lead on site activities while working effectively as part of a small teamFull UK driving licenceBasic IT skills for job recording and reportingConfined space and working at height certifications desirable (training available if not held) Package Competitive salary, dependent on experience39-hour working week with overtime opportunitiesCompany pension schemeCompany van (shared within the team)Ongoing training and development This role would suit a reliable, hands-on mechanical professional looking to progress into a lead position within a stable and supportive business.
