Arcade Supervisor (Permanent)
Hours: 32 hours per week
Salary: £13.05 per hour
The Role
The Arcade Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation and maintenance of the Games Room and arcade machines in the main complex. This includes ensuring all machines are clean, functional, and safe for public use, investigating and troubleshooting machine errors, liaising with technical support, and maintaining accurate service records.
This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining machine performance, ordering parts, and ensuring stock levels are efficiently managed. While the role does not require an electrical qualification, the Arcade Supervisor is expected to exercise due care when removing and replacing electronic components.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise the operation of all arcade machines and assist guests with usage and troubleshooting.
* Proactively investigate and diagnose machine errors, performing minor repairs and part replacements where necessary.
* Contact and liaise with technical support to resolve more complex machine issues.
* Order necessary machine parts and maintain a stock of essential components to ensure minimal downtime.
* Keep detailed service records of all maintenance work performed, including replaced parts and troubleshooting steps.
* Maintain regular communication with the maintenance team regarding technical issues requiring additional expertise.
* Ensure compliance with gambling legislation and enforce age restrictions.
* Monitor and report machine availability KPIs, working to improve overall uptime and guest satisfaction.
* Manage stock control of arcade prizes and consumables using the company's stock control system.
* Ensure that stock is ordered in a timely manner and correctly allocated to areas.
* Remove obstructions such as bent coins or foreign objects from coin acceptors.
* Observe machine operation to identify and report malfunctions promptly.
* Handle and store arcade machine keys securely when not in use.
Who We’re Looking For
* Previous arcade experience including machine maintenance and minor repairs
* Ability to provide training and guidance to arcade team members to ensure consistent operational standards.
* Provide excellent customer service to our guests including compliance with gambling legislation and age restrictions
* Ability to maintain detailed service, stock and prize records
* Availability to work days, evenings and weekends
* Must be 18+
