Bachy Soletanche Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor, to join their Ipswich-based HR team on one of the most significant infrastructure projects in the UK.
Working as part of our Projects division, the HR Advisor will be a key point of contact for all employees and stakeholders on a joint venture project, with an overall project value of around £600 million, and a headcount of around 900 employees.
About the role:
The HR Advisor will be the first point of contact for all HR queries, and provide a comprehensive generalist HR advisory and support, with duties including:
1. Employee Relations Case ManagementInvestigations, Disciplinaries & GrievancesSickness absencePerformance improvementRestructuring activitiesCoaching managers and key stakeholder on people management
2. Occupational Health & Sickness Absence MonitoringArrange referrals to occupational healthEnsure appropriate file notes & documentation is producedLiaise with employee & manager, to monitor & review absence and possible options.
3. Provide data and statistics on HR metrics, such as turnover, retention and ER cases.
4. Support Learning and Development and early careers initiatives.
5. Process and manage sponsored workers, ensuring compliance with UK employment Law .
6. Assist with and coordinate Skills, Education and EDI recruitment and retention initiatives.
7. Ensure compliance with client KPIs and reporting for SEE, EDI and community engagement.
8. Project Work - assist with the research/production of ad-hoc projects (Annual salary/bonus increases, employee communications, Redundancies).
9. Support, when required, with Administrative tasks.
About you
Our ideal candidate will:
10. Be CIPD qualified or hold extensive stand-alone generalist ER/HR experience.
11. Have hands-on experience of managing and conducting Employee Relations meetings.
12. Have excellent communication skills with the ability to quickly establish and maintain strong relationships across all levels.
13. Have excellent organisational and planning skills to help ensure the delivery of a fast-paced HR service.
14. Up to date knowledge of employment law and best practice.
15. Be fully proficient with all Microsoft office packages, including extracting and analysing data.
It would be a bonus if you have experience in:
16. Joint Venture/complex projects.
17. Work Visas, Immigration and Vetting.
18. Construction sectors.
