Specialist Educational Mental Health Clinical Lead

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced mental health practitioner with a CBT qualification to lead whole‑school approach activities within the Children’s and Young People’s Mental Health Support Teams (MHST).
Location
Black Country – locality base to be determined and agreed.
Responsibilities
* Effectively triage referrals across the Black Country.
* Conduct specialist assessments and risk assessments of children and young people.
* Develop, implement and review evidence‑based treatment plans.
* Provide clinical supervision and leadership to the MHST and staff from all locality teams.
* Lead on developing relationships with other services supporting CYP and with schools.
* Contribute to the development and delivery of CPD programmes for staff.
* Support strategic planning, ensuring the needs of CYP, parents, carers and schools inform service development.
* Review and optimise referral pathways and the MHST action plan.
* Provide case‑management supervision to CAMHS staff and other professionals.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered with HCPC, Social Care, Nursing or a recognised degree‑level health and social care qualification.
* Postgraduate (Master’s or above) level study.
* Accredited by the BABCP and holding or working toward a CBT supervision qualification.
* Experience in mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions with children and young people, across all clinical severities.
* Experience leading whole‑school approach activities.
* Experience working closely with schools and delivering mental health promotional work in a school environment.
* Excellent communication and networking skills with schools, public health, local authorities and other agencies.
* Willingness to travel across the Black Country and work flexibly, including remotely from home.
