About The Role
Engineers form part of the Security Engineering Team (SET), an expanding team delivering specific IT Security Services to a client in the Aerospace industry. The team has a footprint in two main sites in Derby, providing services from multiple locations. The role focuses on three main areas of Security Engineering and operational activity:
* Run Activity – monitoring and acting as required on the health of various Security tools.
* Incident Response – responding with appropriate actions to tooling within the remit of the SET.
* Triaging requests incoming to the Engineering Team mailbox and Service Management intake queue, ensuring ownership within the wider team is appropriately assigned.
Hybrid working: Work locations will vary according to the role, your needs, and the business, including Company offices, client sites, and home. You will not be able to work from home 100% of the time.

Your Role Responsibilities
* Ensure the integrity of client IT infrastructures and follow core IT Service Management Principles, including on‑call and out‑of‑hours coverage.
* Maintain the Security Toolkit Infrastructure and support various toolsets including SIEM, IDPS, GVM and Malware Protection.
* Record and respond to health alerts from the Security Infrastructure.
* Tune and enable policies, features and enhancements in response to security incidents and general enhancement requests by the client.
* Troubleshoot the potential impact of security tooling on business applications as required.
Skills And Experience
* Understanding of security threats, compromise methods, server, client and network technologies in an IT outsourcing environment and aptitude to learn new technologies.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, client engagement, time management and expectation management skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
* Track record of implementing and managing an enterprise Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solution to monitor, detect and prevent unauthorized data access across endpoints, networks and cloud environments.
* Experience with MS Cloud Security, including Sentinel, Defender and the wider E5 licensing suite.
* Desirable: Netskope experience administering and maintaining the Netskope Security Cloud platform, configuring policies, integrating with identity providers and SIEM tools, troubleshooting service issues and ensuring optimal performance.

Security Clearance
To be appointed to this role, it is required to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. This requires continuous residence in the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, among other criteria.
