About the role:
Horsham District Council is looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join its Customer and Digital Services team, supporting the technology requirements across the Council providing a technical, professional and customer focused service. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in advanced technical support and infrastructure management, who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys solving complex IT challenges. Youll be a key player in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our IT systems, while supporting both day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
The team are office based, however hybrid working is available.
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer you will provide expert 3rdline support, taking ownership of technical issues and service requests to deliver timely and effective resolutions. Youll maintain our virtual infrastructure, overseeing patching, backups, and system upgrades, while monitoring and managing endpoint and server protection using tools such as Microsoft Defender to ensure systems are secure.
