Hourly Rate: £60.63 Paye or £81.90 umbrella inside IR35
37 Hours per week

Overview
BAE Systems is seeking a talented Cyber Security Engineer – Risk & Assurance to join our growing team in Christchurch. This is an exciting opportunity to support critical Ministry of Defence (MoD) programmes within a long-established, high-performing team of over 45 engineers and specialists.
Responsibilities
* Support projects in understanding and managing cyber security risk
* Collaborate with solution architects and engineers to design secure systems and implement effective security controls
* Produce high-quality technical documentation and reports
* Identify risks and support assurance/accreditation activities within the UK defence domain
* Provide cyber security advice to internal stakeholders and customers
* Ensure compliance with frameworks such as the NIST Risk Management Framework and Cyber Security Framework
* Participate in or plan CHECK/penetration testing activities
* Stay current with evolving cyber security threats, trends, and technologies
* Occasionally travel to customer sites for meetings and investigations
Skills & Experience
* Experience working with MoD policies (e.g. JSP440) and familiarity with NCSC guidance
* Experience supporting Secure by Design (SbD) projects
* Strong understanding of security risk assessment and control frameworks
* Experience applying security architecture principles in complex systems
BPSS with SC – DV required once in role – Subject to ITAR
