St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow in ENT Otology to start in October 2026. The closing date for applications is 21 October 2025.
This post is suitable for post CCT Specialist Registrars (or equivalent) seeking to specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of complex otological disease, including implantation otology and lateral skull base surgery. The post offers supervised training in all aspects of surgical otology, including cochlear implantation, implantation of bone conducting implants (BCI), and surgery for chronic ear disease and otosclerosis.
The successful individual will participate in regular MDT meetings in both implantation otology and skull base surgery, including radiological reviews of relevant imaging.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the job include working at St George's Hospital, which is the main teaching hospital in the western sector of the South Thames. The hospital has developed links with most district general hospitals throughout the South Thames West and supports a significant training program for junior doctors.
Job responsibilities
The job responsibilities include providing excellent local care to the residents of Wandsworth and regional care as both an acute, hyper-acute stroke unit, and trauma center.

Qualifications & Training
* Full registration with the GMC
* Fellowship of the Royal College or affiliated body
* Higher additional qualification
* Possession of CCT
Experience & ability
* Evidence of continuing medical education
* Other specific medical interests
Teaching
* Commitment to organize education and training of junior doctors, therapy staff, nurses, and medical students
* Qualification in teaching or completion of a 'Teach the Trainers' course
Management
* Willingness to participate in management activities
* Motivated to ensure achievement of defined targets
* Experience of change management
Research
* Experience of research, particularly in collaboration with other clinicians
