The Social Housing Regulation Act 2023, alongside established Consumer Standards and other relevant legislation, provides a focus for a variety of targeted projects aimed at enhancing social housing standards and tenant well-being. These regulations aim to ensure safe, decent, and well-maintained homes for residents, while also empowering tenants with greater rights and access to information and redress.
This post in Hull City Council, within the Neighbourhoods & Housing service area, will play a key supporting role in taking forward projects to reshape the neighbourhoods and housing service to address service challenges and address opportunities for change and improvement.
This is an ideal opportunity for anyone wishing to gain experience of project and programme support and get a wider perspective on neighbourhood and housing issues.
You must have the ability to apply a complex range of skills and techniques to effectively support and facilitate service improvement across the Neighbourhoods and Housing Service and partner service providers; including the development and transfer of project management, risk management and service improvement skills, to improve services to our customers.
Previous relevant experience of delivering projects on time and to budget is essential, as are strong proactive planning and influencing skills, a flexible attitude, self-seeking and good communication skills, and a varied background within housing would be an advantage.
