Job Title: School Administrator (Fridays Only) Location: Wirral (SEMH School) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Contract: Part-time, Term-Time Only (Fridays) Start Date: [Insert Start Date or ASAP] A specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school based in the Wirral is seeking a committed and experienced School Administrator to work on Fridays only. This part-time role offers an opportunity to support a dedicated team in a rewarding and inclusive educational environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide a professional and welcoming front-of-house service for staff, pupils, parents, and visitors Manage incoming communications, including phone calls, emails, and face-to-face enquiries Maintain and update student records using SIMS (School Information Management System) Monitor attendance and follow up on absences through SIMS and direct communication with families Process student admissions, leavers, and transfers on SIMS Offer administrative support to the senior leadership team and teaching staff Prepare and distribute school correspondence, reports, and other documentation Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed, including logging and monitoring visitors Assist with ordering supplies and general office management Carry out data entry, filing, and other routine administrative tasks Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism Liaise with external agencies and support staff where appropriate Requirements: Previous experience using SIMS is essential Experience working in a school setting, ideally within an SEMH or SEN environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively Competent in using Microsoft Office applications An understanding of safeguarding procedures within a school setting is desirable About the School: This SEMH school provides a supportive and structured environment for pupils with a range of emotional and behavioural needs.
